Goguryeo
Shelf by nono umasy
Goguryeo, a significant ancient Korean kingdom, thrived from around 37 BCE to 668 CE. Located in present-day North Korea and parts of China, it played a pivotal role in Korean history. Known for its powerful military, Goguryeo engaged in numerous conflicts with neighboring states, including China's Wei and Sui dynasties. The kingdom's cultural and architectural achievements, such as the magnificent Anhak Palace, reflect its rich heritage. Eventually, Goguryeo faced decline due to internal strife and external pressures, ultimately succumbing to the Tang-Silla alliance in 668 CE. Despite its fall, Goguryeo's legacy continues to influence Korean identity and history.
